A poem about mental health

This is a poem written and performed by Kate Stratford, 5 months before she took her own life in 2017. Its taken me years to come to terms with her passing, and to find a purpose behind the pain it left behind. Kate’s influence as one of the best friends I ever had is the reason Seize the Night Records was founded. Because of her, our mission as a label is to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention through music and art. So to commemorate the impact she made, we made her audio poem into a song, using her original vocals from 2017. Purchase or Download the audio from our website.
